It’s Mekala! When you don’t find me playing on my hands on my mat you can probably find me playing on my hands outside around town. No seriously, everywhere & anywhere… outside the Hub, the front door at lululemon, on a grassy knoll somewhere, in healing one, friends livings rooms, in short, if there is a small space I’m trying to hold my own body weight on my hands in some way. I love to challenge my students by testing their strength, and showing them over time with daily practices we can truly do anything we are committed to. I spent years dabbling in the yoga lifestyle and finally came around to a full commitment after completing my first yoga teacher training with Angie Fraley. It took me a year to fully embrace my teaching ability and find my authenticity. Let us learn and grow together, accept our imperfections and practice ahimsa through asanas. To me the practice of yoga is being able to laugh at yourself, push yourself, and accept the present moment. Stop letting the voice in your head get the best of you and sit with the vibrations and sensations within the body. Come sweat with me.
