Yoga Teacher

What brought me to yoga? Physical activity and the need to repair. As an athlete and coach, I found myself constantly pushing and abusing my body, and after multiple injuries, a friend suggested that I tried yoga. I came in wanting the same intensity and strain on my body, but I was shown that yoga was a place that I could strengthen and heal my body by listening to it rather than silencing it. I knew there was something more to yoga than putting myself into shapes and stretching, but I never imagined what I would find through my practice. Yoga provides me community, the repair and balance that I need, and helps me better understand myself and others. It is also given me the ability to learn and accept love and ahimsa within my own body. I hope to provide the same for my practitioners by showing them that yoga is for every body.
